Overview: In 2017, many students participating in our College Planning Cohort (TM) Program were accepted into their top choice colleges and were awarded full scholarship offers from a broad range of colleges and universities. The student who was offered the most scholarship money, $1.8 million, received both need- and merit-based scholarship offers. She received need-based scholarship offers from such institutions as Princeton University and Williams College, the country’s top ranked major university and liberal arts college, valued at $216,740 and $242,220 respectively. She received a full need-based financial aid offer (valued at $210,712) from Vanderbilt—one of the videos contained in this activity. She also received a merit-based scholarship offer from Washington and Lee University, valued at $232,920. This student, and each of our top scholarship recipients, carefully constructed college-bound plans, and application strategies, within the context of the college admissions process and making the right college match.
